Any Questions?

1. What courses do you offer?

We offer: 

  • Two Mindfulness Courses Foundations of Mindfulness and Developing Mindfulness (each12 hours long) helping you integrate mindfulness into daily life in a fun, practical way.   

  • A 12-hour Mindful Approach to Stress Course giving you tools to manage stress more effectively. 

  • Mini Retreats—short, immersive experiences on different topics or themes.

2. I’m a beginner. Can I still join?

Most of our courses and mini retreats are suitable for beginners. However, our advanced mindfulness courses require some prior knowledge and experience. If you're unsure which course is right for you, feel free to contact the facilitator to discuss your options.

 

3. Do I need to meditate every day? 

Not at all. We teach mindfulness in a way that fits into real life—you’ll learn techniques you can use throughout your day, not just in a meditation session.​

 

4. What’s the difference between the Mindfulness Courses and the Mindful Approach to Stress Course?​

The Mindfulness Courses focus on integrating mindfulness into your daily routine, helping you stay present and connected.  The Mindful Approach to Stress Course specifically teaches strategies for managing stress, using mindfulness, values, and practical techniques including relaxation​.

 

5. What will I get out of the Mini Retreat?​

Each retreat offers a unique blend of learning and relaxation, making every experience distinct. The value you gain will reflect your personal engagement—how open you are to the experience, what you take in, and what you carry forward.  Generally, you will explore mindfulness and relaxation practices (unless specified otherwise in the retreat's content outline). Through guided exercises, our goal is to help you find a sense of calm and teach simple techniques that you can incorporate into your daily life for greater ease and presence.

 

6. Where do the courses take place?

Our courses and retreats are held at our purpose-built facility, mindingu, in the Ferguson Valley, a peaceful, natural setting designed to enhance your learning experience.​

7.  How do I book a course or mini retreat? 

You can check our upcoming courses and book directly online or contact us for more details.

 

8.  Why Attend in Person?​

Online courses have grown exponentially in recent years, offering convenience and flexibility. However, there’s something truly valuable about learning in person—connecting with others, sharing experiences, and being fully present in the moment.  Our beautiful retreat space, surrounded by nature, provides an immersive environment that simply can’t be replicated online. Stepping away from daily distractions allows you to engage more deeply, recharge, and experience mindfulness in a way that feels natural and grounding.

 

10. Do you have an option for an online course or attendance by zoom?

​Not at this stage, but we may consider this for the future so that people who can not get to the centre have a chance to participate in our courses or mini retreats.  

 

11. Do You Cater for Special Dietary Requirements?​

Yes—during registration, you’ll be asked about dietary requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate them.  We aim to create a calm, restorative environment, offering a break from the usual hustle and bustle. For this reason, we do not serve coffee but provide a selection of organic teas and herbal infusions instead. All meals are vegetarian or vegan.
