The mindingu Centre in the Ferguson Valley

Just thirty minutes from Bunbury, nestled in the heart of the Ferguson Valley, the mindingu Centre offers a peaceful, purpose-built space for reflection, learning, and wellbeing.

Surrounded by trees, open sky, and native birdlife, the centre was designed intentionally to support calm attention and meaningful growth. Large windows frame the landscape, allowing light and nature to remain present throughout every workshop and retreat.

This is not a hired venue. It is a space shaped slowly and thoughtfully to hold the kind of work we do.

    • Expansive views across tree-filled landscape

    • A winter river that quietly moves through the valley

    • Resident kookaburras and blue wrens

    • Occasional visits from red-tailed black cockatoos and kangaroos

    • Natural light and open space that invite steadiness

Nature does not replace skill development, but it creates conditions where reflection deepens and learning lands more fully. Stepping away from familiar environments often allows people to see their lives with greater clarity.

  • The mindingu Centre was custom-built to host small group workshops, courses, and mini retreats.

The space is designed to feel warm and welcoming rather than corporate or clinical. Seating arrangements encourage participation and connection while still respecting personal space. The atmosphere is quiet, grounded, and supportive.

We intentionally limit group sizes for retreats and courses to maintain a personal and respectful environment so participants can feel seen, held, and able to participate in the way that works best for them.

While many of our workplace programmes are delivered onsite across Bunbury and the South West, organisations also have the option of hosting sessions here. Being away from the office, even for half a day, often shifts perspective and allows teams to engage more openly.

  • The mindingu Centre is not available for general hire. It is reserved for programmes, workshops, and retreats aligned with our wellbeing work.

This ensures the integrity of the space and allows us to maintain the atmosphere that participants consistently describe as calm, nurturing, and thoughtfully held.

For select leadership or team sessions, organisations may combine strategic or reflective work with one of our facilitated wellbeing programmes. These are curated experiences designed intentionally, rather than casual venue bookings.

  • Located in the Ferguson Valley, the centre is easily accessible from Bunbury and surrounding South West communities.

For local organisations, it offers the opportunity to provide teams with a reset experience without the logistics of long-distance travel. For women attending our mini retreats, it provides a short but meaningful step away from daily responsibilities.

The journey itself becomes part of the experience, as the landscape gradually opens and the pace begins to slow.

Our vision is a kinder world where people feel truly seen, valued, and supported.

A world where individuals reclaim their attention from the distractions and busyness of modern living, and savour the small, irretrievable moments that make life meaningful.

A world where people are empowered to face life’s challenges with greater ease, confidence, and kindness.

We are just one small drop in this vision — but ripples can spread far and wide.

Our Values

    Kindness

Kindness is central to our work. We create respectful, well-held spaces that support honest engagement, small steps of change, and growth rooted in self-compassion rather than self-judgement.

  • integrity icon

    Integrity

We appreciate how hard it is to take time out of busyness of life and to commit financially. Our aim to is deliver our courses and retreats with professionalism and care, providing real value. This value goes beyond financial or time commitments. It is the possibility of real and lasting change based on sound scientific research.

  • courage icon

    Courage

We encourage people to show up for themselves, take time for their wellbeing, and step outside their comfort zone in service of what matters to them— all of which require courage. Our approach supports people to make meaningful, values-led choices, even when things feel uncertain, uncomfortable, or demanding.

  • empowerment icon

    Empowerment

Empowerment is at the heart of our approach, as it supports our clients in discovering their own path to meaningful change and unlocking the potential within themselves. Through ACT and mindfulness, we provide the tools, space, and support for clients to build resilience, gain clarity, and take action aligned with their values. This collaborative approach helps people move beyond limitations, gain confidence, and find the courage to step out of their comfort zones, creating lasting, positive transformation in both their personal and professional lives.

    Creativity and Fun

We believe learning works best when people are engaged and at ease. Our workshops and courses are interactive and creative, going beyond standard mindfulness approaches. We use lightness and fun intentionally to support learning, because growth doesn’t need to feel heavy to be effective.

  • Authenticity icon

    Authenticity

We create a space where people can bring their real selves — their questions, doubts, and experiences — and engage fully without pretence. Authenticity is both what we model and what we encourage in others.

A Setting That Supports the Work

In 2015, we were fortunate to purchase this beautiful property, and since then, we've been working to create a space that is truly nurturing. The mindingu Centre is custom-built with comfort and tranquillity  in mind, offering a peaceful atmosphere with large windows that look out onto the expansive, tree-filled landscape. The property features a winter river, resident kookaburras and blue wrens, and visits from red-tailed black cockatoos and kangaroos providing a truly back-to-nature experience. It’s our delight to host visitors for classes and courses, offering a space to recharge, refocus, and enhance well-being in this tranquil environment.

A Space to Pause & Choose

Much of modern life unfolds in enclosed rooms, under artificial light, and within tightly scheduled timeframes. The mindingu Centre offers something different.

It offers space to pause.

Space to notice.

Space to choose your next small step with greater clarity.

Whether you are attending a workplace resilience course or a women’s mindfulness retreat, the environment gently supports the deeper intention of the work: living and working in alignment with what truly matters.
